Write, Market, and Publish Your Book

Steps in the Journey of Every Good Book

Write, publish, and market your book—learn the steps that are part of every book’s journey.

IWOC members Jim Kepler and Kim Bookless will walk you through the steps behind a successful book, whether it’s traditionally published as a paperback or hardcover or released electronically. They’ll explain both how to find a publisher and how to publish your own ebook: The process from development to production to manufacture to market—getting your book into the hands of readers—is similar in many ways, different in others. Bring your questions and share your experiences.

Jim Kepler is the owner of Adams Press, a 74-year-old specialty book production company serving small publishers. Kim Bookless guides indie and self-publishing authors along the path from concept and development to finished books.

Join us on Thursday, November 20, 2014, at the Glenview Hackney’s at 1514 East Lake Avenue, Glenview, (847) 724-7171. Networking and check-in 6-6:30, dinner 6:30-7:30, program 7:30-8:30.

Dress code is business casual. Cost is $20 for members, $25 for non-members. Order dinner from a special menu, and of course there’ll be plenty of those famous fried onion rings.

Please RSVP to Sue Baugh at sue.baughws@gmail.com by Monday, November 17.
