Join us as five experienced IWOC freelancers provide us with a bird’s-eye view of how to go after new and different markets—a topic relevant to both experienced and beginning writers alike.

Each panelist will offer a variety of “nuts-and-bolts” ideas on how to succeed in a specific writing market in which he or she specializes. The individual areas of focus include advertising, article writing, corporate writing, niche-writing, and translation services.

Panelists will offer practical advice, focusing on their respective experience in the different writing segments, including:

  • Advantages and pitfalls of each particular writing field
  • Types of clients to pursue and how to reach them
  • Profitability potentials
  • How to launch yourself into specific areas of writing specialization

The panel includes: Brent Brotine, advertising; Vladimire Herard, niche-writing; Diana Schneidman, corporate writing; Jeff Steele, article writing; and Scott Spires, translation services.

Networking, with snacks and beverages, begins at 5:00 p.m., followed by the program at 6:00 p.m.

The meeting is free for IWOC members. Non-members pay $10 with online preregistration/payment or $15 at the door.

All attendees are welcome to join us for a buy-your-own dinner at a nearby restaurant after the meeting.
