Ebooks for Authors (and Everyone Else)

Ebooks and digital self-publishing have been turning the publishing industry upside down and have had a profound effect on how we read. Ebooks can be a relatively simple and cost effective way for authors to enter the world of self-publishing. Still, this exciting new field has many people, including authors, unsure what it is all about or how to approach it.

Join us for an informative primer on ebooks. We will discuss how ebooks compare to print books, basic formats and things to know, opportunities and challenges, and current issues and trends.

Our speaker is Erika Nygaard, a Freelance Graphic Designer for ebook and print publications. She works with authors and publishers to develop their products and strategize and troubleshoot ebook development.

Bring your questions for Q&A at the end.

This event is free to attend. To RSVP, go to http://www.meetup.com/Chicago-Self-Publishing/events/115146562/.
