How to Profit and Grow with Accounting that Works for You!

Join IWOC-ers for our regular monthly evening of networking and learning as Mary A. Lynch, CPA, Mary Lynch & Associates, Inc. helps you select accounting approaches that work for you.

Mary has been a CPA since 1985 and will clarify options that fit you and your goals. Her firm specializes in small business owners, working with you to make the numbers speak your language. Her presentation will cover:

  • A variety of systems that can be used to do your bookkeeping, both paper and computer
  • Best practices for bookkeeping
  • Identify theft issues
  • How to choose an accountant
  • Buying equipment and depreciation of the equipment
  • When tax filings are due and what should be filed
  • Tax laws that freelance writers need to be aware of
  • What business structure is right for a freelance writer

Networking, with snacks and beverages, begins at 5:00 p.m., followed by the program at 6:00 p.m.

The meeting is free for IWOC members (no need to register; just show up). Non-members pay $10 with online preregistration and payment or pay $15 at the door.

All attendees are welcome to join us for a buy-your-own dinner at a nearby restaurant after the meeting.

Meeting Location

IWOC monthly meetings are held in Room 4F at the Gratz Center, 126 E. Chestnut Street, adjacent to the historic Fourth Presbyterian Church (see map, below).

Discounted parking after 5:00pm is available (with validation coupon available at the meeting) at 900 N. Michigan Avenue.
